The majority of Northstar campers are only 7' wide with the widest camper only 7' 6" wide. The major disadvantage of being narrower is bathroom and seating area. The problem with wider is the weight gained and reduction of stability by stretching the center of gravity. Northstar believes in narrow campers for safety and stability. Cornering is easier when going dow an mountain or venturing off road. It is easier to see around when towing, in traffic, or backing up. The center of gravity is moved closer to the middle of the truck, giving you more control of your vehicle in calm or windy conditions. There is less wind resistance and less stress on your truck with a narrower camper.
